All pups should transition to stage 3 growth food upon reaching full height. This may be as early as four or five months, for toy breeds, or up to 12-16 months for large and giant breeds.

Puppies should remain on Stage 3 food until they are adults, anywhere between 10-12 months for toy and small breeds and up to 24-32 months for large and giant breeds. It is only after this length of time that the pup is considered to be an adult and can transition to the adult foods.

Transition from Stage 1 or another food should be done carefully and slowly.
A standard transition should be 10% exchange per day, 90% old food and 10% new food on day one, 80%/20% day two, 70%/30% day three etc. until you complete the transition over 10 days.
If at any stage of the transition the pup is showing signs of soft stools, simply stop at the current level or go back a step. Stay on that step until the puppy’s tummy settles and then continue to change.
For pups with sensitive stomachs double the length of time taken by changing the mix by 10% every 2nd day.
